The material seems decent enough padding for a laptop, but I would still be careful carrying it. Didn't test the water resistance, felt like it might actually be a bit absorbant on the outside, but the inside is lined like a weatherproof bag or jacket. Based on my experience these skates are not worth the price. The leather exterior is susceptible to scratches and tears, and the adjustable sizing mechanism feels flimsy. As I have gotten older I have noticed that my hair is losing some of its body. Just giving it a quick towel dry is no long working on my hair. So I bought a hair dryer and a round brush. This brush is just the right size. Not too big to use with short hair, but big enough to allow the air the flow through and dry your hair. Overall I love it! I wish it didn’t snap in the back and was actually a lace up but I can see why some would love it. I recommend putting the belt on backwards and snapping it up front the front and then sliding it back around so it doesn’t snap open from the tension while you are trying to put it on behind your back. Should have done this a long time ago. There are a snap to install. The ability to select the brightness is a big plus. I bought 24 (2 boxes) of these lights, installed them in kitchen, bathrooms, living rooms, and hall ways, and was able to vary the brightness accordingly. I easily installed 12 of the Leonlite 4 Foot LED shop lights in the basement. They are very bright and lightweight. I Really like the fact that they have pull chains. I can turn off those on the same circuit, if I don't need light in that specific area.I did have a corner of one of the fixtures arrive cracked during shipping, but after talking to Yari from Torchstar Lighting customer service, they are sending me a new fixture!
