I really put this company through it's paces regarding size and cancelling orders and they were great! I am 5'10" 170lbs. 33" waist. My arms are fairly muscular not huge. I ordered a L at first then cancelled. So I bought the XL. I gave my height and weight and the size they gave was huge like a 42-45 inch chest. I'm about 39" chest. The XL came today-early as well. This waxing bench is excellent! I'm very happy with it. It's all proper gauge steel and solidly constructed. It folds up pretty well for such a thing which is nice since there's probably a whole season you won't be needed it. One problem I had is that the angles of the profiles seemed much too steep to me. I simply unbolted (13mm wrench) the ends of them and moved them to the _underside_ of the bar.
