I've only heated this neck wrap in the microwave, yet find it to work so much better than my other neck wrap. My older neck wrap smells funny when heated and the beads inside can all roll down to one end or the other - which can be nice if you want the beads concentrated only in one area. I needed a light for the trip to my bathroom in my very dark bedroom at night. This thing works perfectly. Comes on as soon as I get to the bedpost, dim light, then goes off. Coming back, it comes on again as soon as I open the bathroom door. The motion sensor works consistently, just as needed. There's an adjustment for how long it stays on after no movement is detected. I sometimes wear these during my run but more often I put them on either before or after. I'm 5'4" with a 15" calf and initially ordered the smaller size. It was so tight I wasn't sure it would come off! I contacted Newzill and they sent me the larger size at no cost. Much better! I don’t like to write saying anything bad about a product but after trying this on all of our four dogs I found that it tugged, pulled and our dogs ran off to hide from the gentle brushing we tried to do.
