It does cover thinning spots and makes my hair look thicker but after a few days (I only need to wash once a week) it begins to get very clumpy and little bald spots appear. If I need to scratch an itch, I have to be careful not to scratch a clump off. I even use the special spray to "set" it. It also will shed all over my forehead if I fiddle with my bangs or the front part of my hair where I am thinnest. Very nice silicone head tongs, they are insta-pot brand however I don’t own a insta-pot and I still use and love them. Pull/push locking mechanism works perfectly and they feel very heavy duty.
