This is not a waist trainer, in the slightest sense. It offers no support for your back and fits like a loose cloth around the waist rather than a band, the Velcro isn't strong enough to be wrapped tighter around the waist, so essentially it won't really help you lose weight or help that area sweat as it claims. We had an original CoverMate that was basically a tall rectangle. We thought that is what we were getting again, it was perfect This one has room for the side tables to be extended at all times, which we don't do. It is about 6 inches to short in height, probably from our measuring expecting the sides to be down.We are making it work. However, i did need help clipping the back cs i was afraid to hold my baby and clip it.
