As stated you do need a very solid and heavy base for it due to the weight and width of the umbrella. This will keep it upright in light winds. I recommend a base with at least 60 lbs weight, or even better, one with 80lbs. The base must be able to accept a 1.9 inch width pole, which is larger than a standard umbrella pole width of 1.25 inches.
