My grand daughter loves flashing lights and that's what attracted me to this toy. However, there's so much more than flashing lights to make this fun -- the moving gears, the push buttons, the writing board, the music, etc. I was afraid her fingers could be crushed in the moving gears, but when she stuck her fingers in, the gears stopped and no harm was done. I recently bought this to hold my 13in macbook pro (11.97W x 8.36D) under my desk. When I finished assembling the product, my Macbook did not properly fit in the basket as the product dimensions listed do not reflect the usable space.
