As others had mentioned, I opted to go a size up. I don't love super tight fitting sweaters! This is more like a heavy shirt/ light sweatshirt. It's perfect for the change of the seasons. I'm 5'3 135lb 34B and typically wear a medium shirt. I definitely think the medium would have been too tight for my taste, but the large was perfect! These valances were not sheer at all (I did not want sheer) but the fabric was of very good quality and very close to the natural muslin color I needed. They were pretty long so I had to shorten them at least 4” to use on a couple of windows in my laundry room (the recommendation for length is 1/4 the height of the window). I'm 5'5" and 105 lbs, so I thought that the XS should be no problem at all. Well, apparently the top is fine, but the bottom is far too small to pull over my butt and it does not stretch well at all.
