The device is innovative. However, the large flange sits above the original sink flange. With the appropriate gasket in place, the sink will drain only to the point where water is above the new flange. I haven’t worn these through deep puddles but in light rain, they do just fine. They are a warm (though not meant for winter!) and true to size. 95% of the time I wear a size 8 1/2, that’s what I ordered and it fits just fine. Brown is a great color! It doesn’t have the contrast that some of the other styles do but it really looks like a nice riding or paddock boot.I think my only complaint is after a few weeks of wearing them, the soles on the inside are starting to slip.
