Easy to prop up, it's got a sturdy base to keep it in shape. I use it as storage/under desk ottoman and it keep my feet propped up nicely. I'm about 230lbs and I sat on it for a while, didn't feel it buckle. Of course, don't just plop right on it trying to smash it, I felt like it would give way if I really out effort into it. I love the excellent quality of the duvet cover, the color is vibrant and the fabric is incredibly soft. What is disappointing is the fact the set came with only one standard sham instead of two as it stated on the packaging. Maybe that is the reason why the price was so low. Was needing wiring to match the existing in this fixture my client purchased. It was installed on a 20' ceiling and each of the 10 heads had to be extended down so they could be reached easily. Each head was extended down from 3' to 6' added the the existing 4' of fixture wire, giving it the staggered appearance. I got these to store and move soft goods. They are perfect for this. They are easy to pack and handle with the handles and back straps. I can’t imagine using them for travel but I guess you could.
