I just received this and was able to put it to use immediately on something I'm assembling. The unit came very neatly boxed. It included batteries and it is trivial to use. Put in 3 of the batteries and flip the switch. Immediately it emits a cross hatch pattern of laser light. It comes with a clamp that also services as a stand alone mount. I think this is a super cute well made top. The stripes give it a sporty look. I got the blue and it is a lovely shade that will look good on many complexions.Unfortunately, I ordered a size up. I have found that many tops like this tend to run small, so I went up a size. And the one I got is too big for me. But that is not the manufacturers fault. This is the perfect versatile sunshade. It blocks much of the sun but my children can still see through it. The materials are PVC free and safe (as far as I know, except for probably the suction cups). There is no odor. It's very hard for children to damage in any way. It is adjustable if you want partial sun coverage. Honestly, as the mother of two older toddlers, I highly recommend this item.
