We used this on our pitboss smoker and it's great because you plug it into your smoker and insert in your meat so all you have to do to check your meat temperature is read the Gage! My son plays basketball. I bought two pair in red and black. So far, so good. I compared the material to another brand and it is thicker and not so easy to tear. I recently picked up The Fixer-Upper, a DIY Jeep hardtop project that required a couple of screws to sort out.
