I read hundreds of Reviews and compared prices and products, and thought I'd try this brand since Reviews were relatively positive and honest. I was disappointed to say the least. Half the batteries were used twice and are dead, the charger is poorly made and seems like it doesn't even charge the ones that are still good, they barely hold a charge when you use them in products. I was surprised at how large and quality made this was. It takes a little time to figure out the 'click' system but once you have the idea, it's rather efficient. My husband still has issues with it because of his big fingers. Most days, I put it on him just so he doesn't start the project frustrated. I figure he'll have the swing of it within the next decade. I love the styling (some interesting knitted details); it fits comfortably, not tight and not loose. This is not a 'thick,' heavily knit hat- it has a inner layer of sort of a sherpa--like fleece which makes it lighter weight, but warm! The price- two hats for the price of one essentially- was another strong point. They will probably need to be washed on gentle/cold, and laid flat to dry, but that's ok- wear the other one while the first is drying. I am VERY happy with this purchase. So this is really only for a worst case scenario IMO. I used this on a cold night in the Colorado mountains to test it out, and yes it worked great.
