This is the extendin/telescoping end that the company claims to be able to be used on its own, but it does not on the bigger of the two sets of poles. The small pole set’s telescope piece can be used with or with out the attachment, cuz it has a solid end where you can attach the end bulbs. But this one can only be used if used with the attachment. I got these for the long tail in order to cover my hair while in braids/locs. While the tail is a little longer than other durags, it is not as long as in the picture. Also the part that you wrap around your had and tie is too short to wrap around twice but too long for once around. I hadn't had that problem with others. This is a really cute giraffe print on a super soft Tshirt! I ordered a medium,I'm 5'5" and about 135 lbs and it's a loose and roomy fit on me which is what I wanted.
