My son is 6 years old and he wanted to play chess. I ordered this as it had some good reviews and also had storage for the coins. The quality of the board and coins are great. The only issue I felt was the felt on bottom of the coins come off when we insert or take out the coins but it was not a big deal as we were able to glue it again.
