I purchased this sun shade over 18 months ago and it still looks brand new. I installed it over my patio seating area and it is up 24/7. It provides shade, but it is not waterproof. It is porous and lets rain through. But I didn’t buy it to stop the rain. I bought it to provide shade, and that it does! its very cute, its bright. Its a little annoying to figure out how to use but its fairly simple when you figure it out. its also VERY LOUD, like ear piercingly loud (this is adjustable). The angle of this heater is awful. You cant turn the head down enough to reach you if your sitting in a chair. I tried it in our living room where there is no breeze and couldn't even feel the heat while seated. It goes right over your head.
