This just does not work that well. They appear well constructed but for my first application with solid-core 12 AWG electrical wire with stiff insulation it just does not strip reliably. The two failure modes are basically cutting the insulation at the grippers instead of the cutter or not gripping it sufficiently well and it doesn't cut the insulation at all.
