They do list the size accurately so it's my perception that is the culprit here. I was happy with the density of the balls. Ordered the 13 + 1 polyester set and it came in a box with the treads rolled up but the 31" x 31" mat folded several times. Because the mat was folded it was impossible for the mat to lay flat. Since I was using these on the basement stairs, I had intended to keep them in place using carpet tape. Strategically placed tape under the folds in the mat kept the bumps down. My cat liked this thing — that is, until she broke it. She would lean directly on the front of the arch until she knocked the whole thing over. Maybe my cat just rubbed against this way too aggressively. Maybe it wasn’t the best quality item. Maybe it was both. But regardless, after 3 months of barely any use, it finally broke.
