The usable area to mount/pin things is 7.12" x 9.25". Picture frames are always sold by the interior size; like an 8"x10" photo fits in an 8x10 frame. But it's a very nice shadowbox. I just cut down a collage a bit to fit inside the shadow box. Deeper than I thought it would be; but that's on me for not reading the details. Very happy with it. I had to try this dress on a few times to figure out if I liked it or not. It’s a cotton material but doesn’t have much stretch and the tie at the bottom is a little funky. You have to adjust this dress just so, so that the knot lays in a flattering way.
