These are small but in a handy way. The brightness is all right. I bought these for both daily supplemental light use and as backlighting for power outages. As far as daily use, they simply aren't that bright. I forget to turn them on - and I don't miss the "extra" light. This is why I'm not impressed with the brightness. I expected more. The foot shaver is a good idea but it is poorly made. The blade doesn't stay connected to the body of the unit while using. Before I ever used it the first time, the blade came off at least 6 times. The foot file on the other end is about the same. You can't use it without it coming apart. Postage to return it than it cost to start with so I am not inclined to make a return. It’s a really cute harness don’t get me wrong, but it’s pretty tight since you have to loop one of the elastic bands over your neck, and it didn’t come with instructions.
