My 12 month old is really timid when it comes to walking. He'll take 1 or 2 steps and fall. And he'll only do it when mom or dad is there to catch him. I got this so I could help speed up his walking skills. I've used it a couple of times on him now. But what I noticed is that he just puts his entire body weight on the wings and in turn I think it may be hurting his armpits a little bit.
