I've used double-sided tape in the past, but nothing is at all like this stuff. Two strips along a 12 in x 12 in shelf were able to hold up a 5 lb projector without falling. Set this one down on the floor and it took my little calico girl all of about 30 seconds to hop in and get comfortable. Have put it on her cat ree and on the bed, all with similar results. She still uses her heated pad as well but this is a close second. Its probably big enough for two medium size cats if they like to cuddle. Cannot comment on cleaning it, havent had to yet. Just using a normal sponge scratched it which is very noticeable on the clear bowl. The design isn’t the most convenient. The bowls snap into the stand. I got this bowl set for soft and hard food.
