Literature said, shrink tubing would prevent ball bearing assembly from accidently falling apart on the bit holder. Which would make wrench almost impossible to use. I wasn't going to mess with it. So far so good. my boys have been beating on it for a couple days now and it’s going strong. The plastic does seem like it’s only going to last so long though. My only true issue was trying to get sand into it. It’s basically a comedy of errors. I bought a bag of play sand but it was damp and wouldn’t funnel into the hole.
