I bought this for a prop for my 5 yr old grandsons birthday party which had a camping theme. The kids loved it!Now my grandson has it in his play room with pillows inside and his sleep animal and he uses it for reading time.It's small for younger kids but I wouldn't recommend it for over 5 yr olds. Despite the marketing for these pads, they noticeably alter the sound of the ATH-M50x. I compared these directly to another pair with the stock pads, switching pads and cables to make sure there wasn't a problem with another piece of hardware. I'm not an audio expert, but I can safely say that the the lows are way less punchy, the highs are tinny, and everything sounds generally muddier and undefined with the Brainwavz ProStock pads.
