The hanger was installed behind the door using the included screws and it was very easy to assembly and install. The wood feels strong and sturdy, and it has held up pretty well so far after 2 months of use. We have hung pretty heavy jackets and pants on the hangers and they still feel sturdy to use. First, the foam itself is fine. But do check the size. This is a pretty small piece of foam, better suited for putting between plates or wrapping small items.
