I purchased this because I have plantar fasciitis and wanted a cold pack that delivered ice directly to my arch and heel area. This is almost perfect for that. The thin ice pack is Velcro'd in the wrap and is removable. It freezes quickly in about 1 hour or a little more. I just remove the pack from the freezer and adhere it to the wrap and then close.
