I'm happy I decided on a Nalgene. After finding out I couldn't buy an American made steel bottle anywhere, and after seeing Nalgene made a glow in the dark bottle, I bought it. The plastic is thick and hard, the attached cap screws on easily, and it is light weight. I see why these have been a classic choice for so many for so long. We used many LED lights on the boat for the Christmas Parade and used these to write words but they did not show up as well as I would have liked as all of the other LED lights were brighter. We did use them for outlining costumes and the like and they worked well for that application. They could work well for other things just not when combined with LED lights.
