What I've noticed is that if the probes only slightly touch the fluid as opposed to being completely submerged, the readings are different. These are a great idea, but have a flaw. We have an Intek pool with the attachable skimmer basket. These socks, when applied to the basket, tend to encourage the debris to flow over the top of the basket and directly into the filter. If they are placed directly on the skimmer float, they suck to the filter intake and reduce the flow substantially.
