I just unpacked these bowls. So far I'm very impressed. Whoever designed the packing for these dishes was a packing genius. There is no way these are going to be broken in shipment. Minimum amount of packing but the packing materials are a higher quality than you usually see. Very sturdy bowl construction. If you follow the included instructions you would build the base of the drawer before installing it, thus allowing the holes to be easily lined up. However with the way the "feet" are created, the holes are too close to the rails and the screws cannot easily be applied down through the "feet" of the drawer while it is fully assembled. I bought these for my husband for Christmas. He has a really hard time finding bedroom shoes that aren’t hot and that you can wash. Well these are the ONES! He absolutely loves them! They wash well and have removable insoles. One of the insoles was missing and when I contacted the company they were great and sent another pair of shoes. These lids are sturdy and thick. I feel like the contents are completely protected. The inner lid is the standard mason jar metal.
