I was disappointed that it was difficult to clean off. It reminded me of trying to clean off grease pencil marks (indicates my age, but the image should illustrate my point). I was about to order a more expensive (almost 3x cost) stem and saw this and took a chance and ordered it. It came the next day, and was great quality, easy installation and works great.
