We bought this to make shade sails on cable to shade our transom windows since our neighbors cut all of their shade-providing trees down behind us. House faces west. We used a soldering iron with a modified blade-like tip to cut and burn the edges. Bought the hardware kit to anchor to the house and the clips to run the cable through. Surprisingly good sound for such an inexpensive base. I was just hoping for better sound than from the tiny speakers in my new TCL 32” smart tv in my master bedroom. I tried this on my 2013 prius v, and it does not fit, at least to my satisfaction. In fact, the manufacturer's package itself states that it "EXCLUDES V MODEL". Now I contacted the retailer and asked about the conflict, and this knowlegable source assured me it would fit. I opened the package, did a test preassembly on my vehicle, and I see no way that it will fit right. I'm not taking the chance on my brand new wagon. I like this door bell. The wiring for my old door bell was defective so I purchased this rather than rewiring. This replacement works well, I'm impressed with the volume and the ease of installation.Most of the chimes are a bit overdone (especially the animal noises) but I guess everyone had their own desires in their door bell.I chose to use a command strip to hang the receiver which has been working well. It sure is a skull!Good size; comfortable in the hand. Looks just like the picture. Not sure if adapters are actually threaded or not; mine stays put, but it never really gets to a point where it stops turning. It won't come off easily, it's on tight enough that it won't just spin freely, but it still turns if twisted with moderate force. Good enough for me, and it looks cool.
