The fingertip skin around my nail gets very calloused and sharp. As a Chiropractor, I need my hands to be smooth and comfortable to the patients and this is the best tool I have ever used to accomplish that. The oval diamond tip is my favorite and it requires little force, basically just gliding the tool over the rough edges of the skin and clipped nails provides a pleasant surface that does not distract nor irritate when I provide therapy. My wife initially purchased this and I am glad she encouraged me to try it, and she recommends it as highly as I do.It’s important to note that you need a power source with a USB port because none is provided. I use an old iPhone charger successfully. Also if the abrasive tip vibrates because it does not run true, just press it deeper into the chuck and the vibration stops. This is a very compact light tool with a variable speed control which might even be useful for craft activities like model making, similar but smaller than a Dremel tool.
