Installs in minutes and has just the right degree of flexibility as you're installing. Putting a stake in each hole gives maximum durability I'm sure, but I don't think that is necessary because only really aggressive use of a weedwacker could damage the edging. Putting a stake in every third or fourth hole I think is sufficient, and that leaves some extra stakes that can be useful elsewhere. Compared to other varieties of edging, these aren't as deep. As a result, each segment goes in faster and with far less digging. What some of the others have that these don't is steel; those others probably have more permanence, perhaps thirty years instead of fifteen. Still other varieties are plastic and are thus are less costly but are probably less durable than either these (aluminum) or the steel.
