First set were really bad. Honesty, I didn’t like shipping them back because I felt like they’ll just be put back into stock and shipped again.The set I returned was assembled incorrectly from the factory then corrected. The issue is 6061 aluminum is still real soft regardless of the quality. So the incorrect assembled left damage on the both mountings surfaces. I nearly bought a plastic version of this because it was made by a brand I know. I decided that while this is not a brand I know, I'd take a chance on it because it's solid brass. The gel itself does not smell very good but I also use the conditioner so with the conditioner and the gel mix the smell is not bad after I’m done. The gel is not super thick or super thin it’s kind of a good in the middle. It goes on very easily and in-between my hair, it does not leave my hands sticky at all after I’m done. In the BIOS I had to enable XMP and adjust 'DRAM Frequency' to '3200-24x100.00x1.33-G1'. Everything else adjusts automatically. After doing so the RAM was working stably as specc'ed. They look pretty good on my 99 Silverado. Not exactly difficult to install, but not exactly easy either. I did end up with them lined up exactly like I wanted, but not too bad. I added a few extra pieces of double sided Gorilla tape. They aren't going anywhere. The clips . I know why they are there, but I'm not sure if they help that much.
