Easy to assemble, the parts were pretty sturdy. The piece is nice, heavy but not too heavy. The "wood" piece is really wood-looking tape, but it wasn't scratched so it looks nice from afar. I have my big toaster/convection oven on that and some smaller, lightweight stuff on the other shelves. Took the plunge on cropped pants. I live where it is warm year around—I don’t think I would wear these if it was cold. Fit is good. Not too slim. Waist is a bit larger than expected and although these say 27 inch inseam, I think they are more like 28 or 29 inches. No worries, you can cuff them and there are stripes on the seam. I purchased these for two 6x6 posts on my deck that are painted white with dark gray railings. I decided that the black does not look good on the white posts, so will exchange them for the white.
