It is an inch shorter than the description says and it is a lot lighter than I expected. I haven't really had it long enough to notice if it is making a difference keeping cold out of my house. But my doors are very drafty and I just don't see this being thick enough to keep all the cold out. Unfortunately, I bought a size too small (these might run small). They do need a pad in them to really soak up the urine, but becasue of the material, the diaper does not get damp as the cloth diapers do. I can use these with a thin mini pad but this pup really needs a full maxi, and a full maxi will not fit.
